Discount for self-payers from the third child onwards
Families without transport cost coverage receive a sibling discount of 50 per cent on the third active SchokoTicket contract for the third child. The SchokoTicket is even free of charge from the fourth active contract in the self-payer area. With the new features of the SchokoTicket, VRR is responding to the political demand of the VRR parliamentary groups to also offer the ticket at attractive conditions to self-paying families with several children. The offer for schoolchildren is becoming fairer overall.
The SchokoTicket can be cancelled at any time. This allows students to see the benefits of the ticket for themselves. If the SchokoTicket does not suit your mobility, you can simply cancel it by the end of the month. The subscription period is extended by a further month if the transport company does not receive a cancellation by the last day of the current month.
Order the DeutschlandTicket Schule now
You have the option of ordering the DeutschlandTicket Schule online or using the order form.
The DeutschlandTicket Schule can also be applied for online by legal guardians or pupils of legal age via a portal of the City of Dortmund.
The software in the portal shows and calculates the possible walking distance to the school attended. After the application has been submitted, the school automatically receives application information and can confirm that thepupilgoes to school there. If thepupilis entitled to a subsidy, the data is forwarded digitally to DSW21 and the DeutschlandTicket Schule is issued.

If you are looking for a suitable ticket for your child's journeys by bus and train, you now have the opportunity to test the benefits of the DeutschlandTicket Schule and remain flexible.
If the DeutschlandTicket Schule does not suit your child's mobility, you can simply cancel it free of charge. This way, your child can enjoy all the benefits of the subscription and remain flexible if their life situation changes.
