Taking photos in the light rail system - what do I need to bear in mind?

We like to be a motif
But please with written authorisation
Many light rail stops are popular subjects for film and photo shoots, whether for private or professional purposes. However, the production of sound and image material is not permitted without prior written authorisation from DSW21. This regulation serves to protect passengers and to ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety regulations. Anyone wishing to make recordings should therefore seek permission from DSW21 in good time.
For amateur photographers
If you have written authorisation from DSW21, you are generally permitted to take photographs for private purposes. When photographing or filming, please ensure that you do not infringe the personal rights or copyrights of other persons. Please do not photograph or film passengers or staff without first asking for their permission.
Tripod or flash needed?
Do you need a tripod, flash or other equipment? In this case, please send a request to kundenresonanz@dsw21.de at least one week in advance to obtain written authorisation.
The following information is required:
- In which light rail system do you want to photograph or film?
- When are you planning to film?
- Your first and last name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
- A note on the intended use
Media: Filming and photography
Media representatives with an officially recognised press card are generally permitted to take photographs at the bus and light rail stops. Written authorisation is required if tripods, flashes or other set-ups are to be used. The same applies to all filming, reporting and interviews of any kind.
You can obtain authorisation - ideally a few days in advance - from Group Communications: presse@dsw21.de

Commercial recordings
Authorisation is always required for commercial photos and videos. We require a detailed description of the recording, the client, the purpose of use and the period of use.
DSW21 reserves the right to charge for any costs incurred as a result of the recordings, e.g. for the accompaniment of service staff, the provision of electricity or support services. The provision of vehicles is generally subject to a charge.
