Mother's Day and Mother Earth
Status: 07.05.24
Mother's Day is on 12 May. That's why we want to think of a special mother today: Mother Earth. How about a trip into nature to get a little closer to the earth and see what we need to protect. Make an appointment with friends and family and spend a day in the countryside, enjoying nature.
Clean up
We are probably all familiar with this scene: a leisurely stroll in the woods, a bike ride along the river or with the dogs to the meadow and we are greeted by a pile of rubbish that has been carelessly thrown into nature.
How about a clean-up campaign for Mother's Day? Put on your gloves, get your rubbish bag ready and simply clear one or two places of rubbish. This may only be a drop in the ocean, but you can set an example and maybe you'll encourage one or two people to think about it the next time they want to throw rubbish on the ground.
Environmentally friendly mobility
Bus, rail and train are an important pillar of sustainable mobility. And we hope that these pillars will be further strengthened. In Dortmund and the surrounding area, there are numerous beautiful excursion destinations that you can reach by bus and train. How about a walk in Rombergpark, a visit to Lake Baldenee or a picnic on the banks of the Rhine?
Travelling by bus and train, bike or on foot is good for the environment and a great way to spend time with your loved ones or simply explore the area.
