As of 1 September 2024, fewer ticket options will be available on buses and trains in the VRR and at DSW21.
What tickets can I get from the driver?
From 1 September 2024, there will be a reduced range of tickets on buses and trains in the VRR and thus also at DSW21:
Single tickets for adults (all price levels)- Single tickets for children
- BikeTickets
- Single tickets in the Westfalen tariff
Why is that the case?
Since the coronavirus pandemic, the number of passengers buying tickets has fallen sharply. We therefore offer a basic range of tickets in the vehicle and support the desire for cashless payment and digital ticket purchasing. This change speeds up in-vehicle sales, reduces the workload on drivers and ensures more punctual journeys.
How can I buy my ticket digitally?
Registration: Register in the ticket shop of the DSW21 app and enter a payment option.
Ticket purchase: Buy your desired ticket or use the eezy fare.
Use eezy: Simply check in and out via the app when boarding and alighting. The price is calculated using a basic price and the distance as the crow flies in kilometres for the route you have travelled. If you use eezy frequently, you will never pay more than 49.00 euros per month,which corresponds to the price of a DeutschlandTicket.
