DSW21 invests €1.6 million in track work at the "Stadion" stop

DSW21 is starting extensive track work in the area of the "Stadion" stop. With an investment of around 1.6 million euros, the infrastructure of the U45 light rail line is being modernised and made future-proof. The work has been deliberately scheduled during Borussia Dortmund's season break in order to avoid disruption for fans and passengers. The U45 line and private transport will continue to operate without restriction.

DSW21 is investing around € 1.6 million to strengthen the track infrastructure of the U45 light rail line in the area of the "Stadion" stop: from 19 May to 7 July, extensive track work will be carried out on the turning loop and the Strobelallee pedestrian crossing. The local transport company is deliberately bundling several measures into this project and scheduling them between the 2024/25 and 2025/26 Bundesliga seasons so as not to disrupt BVB fans travelling to and from the stadium. The work will therefore have no impact on DSW21's regular service or private transport. The project is being funded by the state of NRW via the "Municipal Rail" programme.
