DSW21 funding competition #dortMUT enters the home straight

The application phase runs until 31 August.

Every year, Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG (DSW21) awards €84,000 to associations and non-profit organisations through its #dortMUT funding competition - €21,000 each in the categories "Social", "Culture", "Sport" and "Diversity & Sustainability". The call for proposals for 2025 is now entering the home straight. The application phase will run until 31 August via www.dortmut.de - after which the juries will decide on the award of up to €3,000 for an individual project. If you have any questions about the application process, simply send an email to v.schlotz@dsw21.de.

Volunteering is the glue that holds our society together. And clubs are the places where this happens. That's why the #dortMUT project has been around for five years. It's not about the "banger idea". The often arduous everyday life of the clubs should and can also be made easier through #dortMUT: new costumes for the theatre group, a projector for the film club, a competition trip for children or young people, a cargo bike grant for an allotment garden club. In all four categories, the key themes of sustainability and togetherness are at the centre of the decision criteria.

#dortMUT - three strong arguments in favour of the project competition:

  • 420,000 € has flowed into the urban community so far. In projects ranging from boxing training for Ukrainian children to a barbershop choir.
  • Well over 100 organisations have received money from the #dortMUT pot.
  • More than 25,000 Dortmund residents have benefited directly or indirectly from the projects.
