The scent of various flowers fills the air, insects buzz around and ducks splash around on the lake: Rombergpark is located in the centre of Dortmund. A green oasis to escape the urban jungle for a few hours and relax.

Rombergpark stretches over 68 hectares and is characterised by its arboretums, the plant show houses with tropical plants and the impressive rhododendrons, which attract numerous photographers when in bloom.

Dortmund Zoo, a popular excursion destination for families, is directly adjacent to the park.

Poetry in nature

The poetry trail in Rombergpark was opened at the end of 2022. The park is celebrating its 200th anniversary with 30 German poems from 200 years. Enjoy a journey back in time through past seasons and discover the impressive flowerbeds, meadows and trees of Rombergpark. The poetry trail starts at the kiosk in Lindenallee.

Dortmund Zoo

Rombergpark borders directly on the zoo to the south. If you feel like it, you can combine your visit to the park with a trip to the zoo and learn about numerous animal species.

Did you know that the mascot of the 21 is Kim the lion, just like the lion house at Dortmund Zoo?

With the U49 into the countryside
