Largest bike hire system in Germany
For several years now, bicycles from the provider metropolradruhrhave been available for hire. A co-operation with DSW21 makes it even easier and cheaper for ticket holders to switch to bikes.
DeutschlandTicket subscribers can also take advantage of this benefit by simply entering the seven-digit subscription number under the menu item "Account settings - Link partner" when registering (nextbike website or app). There is an adapted registration procedure for all buyers via our apps. You can find more details below in the FAQ under "For HandyTicket users of the DeutschlandTicket without a customer number".
Advantages for subscribers
Want to whizz through the city quickly and flexibly on a hire bike? As a subscriber, you can hire a bike at a reduced rate at over 85 stations in Dortmund and other cities where metropolradruhr is available.
The first half hour of each journey is free of charge. After that, you pay €1.00 for each additional half hour. There is no annual subscription fee!
If you have a DSW21 customer number, you can activate the DSW21 benefit directly in the Metropolradruhr app. However, you must first register on the Metropolradruhr website or in the app. You must then activate the DSW21 benefit in your account settings under "Link partner". You can do this by entering the 7-digit customer number of your season ticket. Example: 1234567 Each benefit can only be redeemed once. Benefits cannot be combined, i.e. only one benefit can be linked for each user account.
Important: This procedure does not apply to DSW21 digital tickets! Detailed instructions for HandyTicket users can be found below.
Registration is free of charge. To verify your means of payment, you create a starting credit of €1.00, which can be used for all tariffs. Your customer account will be activated immediately after debiting via credit card and PayPal. If you pay by bank transfer, your account will usually be activated within two to four days.
