We bring momentum to nightlife

Our aim is for you to be mobile at night too. That's why our light rail system is being integrated into the night-time service and, as a first step, the service is being expanded in the off-peak hours. The aim is to ensure continuous operation on weekend nights in the future. The night-time express network will also be adapted for better interaction.

The night service with extended timetables and new routes will ensure better connections to regional and long-distance transport at all times.

Extension of light rail and bus journeys

The light rail lines U41, U42, U43, U44, U45 and U46 run daily between midnight and 1 a.m. at 15 or 30-minute intervals. The journeys will then replace the night express bus journeys previously offered during this time. In addition, the operating times of some important bus routes (416, 427, 440, 445, 447, 448 and 450) will be adjusted and extended to ensure connections to the light rail system.

A late show at the cinema, a party with friends or a night out after a late shift: no matter why you're out and about, the extended timetable gives you more flexibility.

Less noise

You don't have to worry about buses disturbing your sleep at night. Our electric buses are particularly quiet and sustainable when travelling.

We want to revitalise the night in Dortmund! That is why we are already starting this summer with an extended service in the light rail area in the evening hours. The night-time service at the main railway station will be strengthened by longer journey times for our light rail services and supplemented by the bus network. And to make Dortmund mobile, further measures for night-time mobility will follow soon.

The NachtExpress is your reliable partner for night-time journeys through Dortmund and ensures that you get to your destination safely, comfortably and without stress. Whether after a long day at work or a wild night of partying - our NachtExpress is at your side. On the nights from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday and before public holidays, we take you from Reinoldikirche to the various districts and suburbs in a star-shaped route - and back.
